日本語↓This month, we ventured into the trendy back streets of Surry Hills as well as Oxford Street to do our clean up! We were out in force with another very large group of keen volunteers. Lots of fresh faces this month, with volunteers coming not only from Australia and Japan, but China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Korea too !
What we picked up was quite the standard, but I often found strange silicon lids and wondered what these are normally found on? Whatever they are, it seems that some people out there think they are disposable directly onto the streets of Sydney. People lunching around Surry Hills and Oxford Street got a glimpse of our band of around 40 volunteers doing their bit to make Sydney a better place. And most of them aren't even locals (except for our regular members ). I'd love for more more locals to get involved so if you are a Sydneysider and you see this post, why not join us in August or later this year at a clean up?
今月はじめて洒落た町のサリーヒルズとオクスフォードストリートでお掃除をしました！日本とオーストラリアをはじめ、今回は東アジアの韓国と中国だけではなく、サウジアラビアからのボランティアさんも来てくれて、とても嬉しかったです! 子供達も含めて40人頑張ってシドニーをよりピカピカな街にするように精一杯頑張ってごみを拾いましたね。その情熱は近くのカフェでブランチをとっていた皆さんの目に焼き付けたのでしょう。今月は地元人もお掃除の大切さが分かるといいなって思いながら活動をした気がします。来月はどこで拾えばいいかな？お掃除が必要なところはいつも募集中です。また８月によろしくお願いします。
