8月17日に今年14回目のクリーンアップを行いました！夏らしい強い日差しの中晴々とした気持ちで始めることができました☀️
今回はVONSEという名前のスーパーマーケットの方に向かう道のお掃除しました。この道は何度もお掃除をしていますがいつもゴミの多さに驚きます。タバコのような小さなゴミから大きなゴミまでたくさん落ちていましたが、今回ゴミが密集して捨てられている場所を見つけました。どんなに小さなゴミでもたくさんの人がポイ捨てしたら、それは大きなゴミになり私たちの街をどんどん汚していきます。環境保全の重要性をより多くの人に知ってもらいたいと再度思う機会になりました。
夏休みも残り一週間です。OCCの寮でも入居が始まり、帰省していた人たちも帰ってくる時期だと思います。これから新学期も始まり色々な新しいことを始める人も多いと思います。その一つにgreenbirdへの参加が入っていたら嬉しいです。
次回のクリーンアップは8月31日です。
またのご参加をお待ちしております！On August 17, we held our 14th cleanup this year! We were able to start with a clear mind in the strong summer sunshine ☀️
This time we cleaned up the road to the supermarket named VONS. We have cleaned this road many times and are always surprised at the amount of trash. There was a lot of garbage, ranging from small items like cigarettes to large ones, but this time we found a place where garbage was dumped in a dense pile. No matter how small the trash is, if many people litter, it will become a big trash and pollute our city more and more. This was an opportunity for me to remind people of the importance of environmental conservation.
With only one week left in the summer vacation, the dormitories at OCC have started moving in, and I think it is time for those who have been back home to return to their homes. I am sure that many of you will be starting various new things as the new semester begins. We would be happy if one of them is to participate in greenbird.
The next cleanup will be held on August 31.
